I Am... Something about me!

I decided to get really artsy(is that even a word?). So I started with poems! I found out I was pretty good and so I decided to create a poem following an "I am" template. The template is simply words like I am, I wonder, I hear, I see and so on in a specific order. I tried to use poetic tools in my poem so some of the parts will probably make no sense. This is probably one of the longest posts I have posted so far. I am very proud of myself. You should be proud of me too. Enjoy my poem. 
I Am.......Me!

I am a proud performer since the beginning of time

I wonder who I would be without my leadership skills

I hear my future applause as clear as an ocean breeze

I see people listening to me (even though I speak nonsense)

I want to never have to clean my messy room

I pretend I can fix my mistakes so I leave them behind

I feel like someone is always hugging me, holding me tight

I touch the sky as my pride rises, the stars shimmer as they cheer me on

I worry I won’t fall asleep and my life won't change

I cry because my impatience is my enemy, beating me every time

I am a proud performer since the beginning of time

I understand every word I speak

I say that trying something new won’t hurt you but bad deeds will

I dream about what I will see, like a seal stalking me

I try my best in everything I do

I hope my life will change while I sleep at night and I won't have to
